A straightforward process, the same on every job.
No jargon, no surprise scope creep, and no charge for time we haven't agreed to.
Four steps, every time.
Tell us what you need
Describe the problem in your own words — you don't need to know which service applies.
We confirm fit and scope
You get a plain-English explanation of what's included, the price, and any relevant boundary — before anything starts.
The work gets done
Agreed deliverable, agreed price. If something outside scope comes up mid-job, we tell you before doing it, not after billing for it.
Handover, not lock-in
Documentation, exported files or a written summary — whatever's appropriate — so you're never stuck needing us specifically to keep something running.
Deliberately, not by oversight.
Waters & Co doesn't carry professional indemnity insurance, because engagements are deliberately scoped to stay out of the territory that would need it: preparation, coordination, administration and education — not licensed financial, legal, tax or valuation advice, and never handling client funds or making binding decisions on a client's behalf.
Where a job needs that kind of advice or authority — a BAS lodgement, a legal opinion, a licensed valuation, a financial recommendation — that specific part is named clearly and referred to an appropriately qualified, licensed professional. You'll always know exactly where that line sits before work begins.
A tool, not a black box.
AI is used where it genuinely speeds up or improves a result — research, drafting, workflow automation — always with a human reviewing before anything goes out or gets delivered. It is never used to give you financial, legal or medical advice, and personal or sensitive information is minimised or kept out of public AI tools entirely. Full detail in our Privacy policy.
When the right answer is someone else.
Registered BAS agents and accountants, licensed valuers, financial advisers, and other specialists — used whenever a job genuinely needs a qualification or licence Waters & Co doesn't hold. Any referral relationship involving a fee or commission is disclosed to you plainly, and Waters & Co never implies an endorsement from a government body or professional association it doesn't have.
