What we collect
When you submit an enquiry or a service contact form, we collect your name, email address, phone number (if provided) and the message you send us. We don't ask for or collect anything beyond what's needed to respond to your enquiry through this site's forms — no identity documents, financial account details or health information are ever requested through a general website form.
How we use it
Your submission is used to respond to your enquiry, assess fit and scope, and — if you go ahead — deliver the service you've engaged us for. It's stored in our internal case-management system and is not sold, rented or shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Our use of AI tools
Some parts of our work — research, drafting, workflow automation — are assisted by AI tools. We follow the OAIC's guidance on AI and privacy: we do not enter your personal information, and particularly sensitive information, into publicly available generative AI tools without your informed agreement, and we minimise what's used wherever possible. Anything consequential produced with AI assistance is reviewed by a person before it reaches you or affects a decision about your matter. We never represent AI-generated material as an independent professional opinion.
Cookies and tracking
This site does not currently set tracking cookies or run third-party analytics. If that changes — for example, adding privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages are useful — this policy will be updated first and the change will be reflected here with a new review date.
Storage and security
Submissions are stored in a password-protected internal system, accessed only by the operator of Waters & Co. We take reasonable steps to keep it secure, but no online system can be guaranteed completely free of risk.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act, you can ask what personal information we hold about you, request a correction, or ask us to delete it. To do any of these, or to make a privacy complaint, email watersandco.contact@gmail.com. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
